Hey there!  My name is Monique and I am an avid DIYer, deep thinker, spiritual student, wife to an incredible man, and mother to four very forgiving children.  I have been married to my husband, Ryan, for a little over 5 years and it is because of him that I can stay at home with my children and create to my heart’s content.  He is my backbone, my biggest supporter, and best friend.  I am happiest when I am learning and creating, whether that is through woodworking, jewelry making, sewing, painting, cutting up paper, drawing, trying out homemade concoctions, or anything that makes my soul sing.

When I was a child, I was lucky enough to grow up in a family that believed strongly in natural alternatives.  I worked in a family owned herb store when I was a young woman and learned to ask questions in healthcare.  I became a mother at the age of 20 and began to open my eyes to the toxins around me.  Even though I had an open mind when it came to healthcare, I had not considered the rest of the chemicals I was blindly exposing myself and my children to daily.

I set out on a journey to educate myself about the chemicals in my household and knew I needed to make a conscious effort to minimize the toxins I introduced to my family.  I learned how to clean my house using environmentally responsible and health conscious alternatives.  I began using doTERRA essential oils, botanicals, and various organic ingredients on our skin as opposed to the chemical ridden products I once used.  I will be the first to admit that I’m not perfect and have a long way to go before I completely convert my household, but I make every effort to lessen our exposure.  It can be difficult to make the transition but I love the journey and believe each of us can make a difference in our home, which will in turn make a difference in our world.

In addition to creating healthy alternatives, I am also passionate about personal development and spiritual growth.  I love to read and listen to motivational books that are uplifting and that allow me to connect to spirit.

I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to share my story with you and hope that you find my site to be a place of inspiration as you grow in your own light and truth.  Please feel free to reach out to me with ideas and information as I love to learn and am always looking for new information to dissect!  😀

Much love!
